📋 External Coaching & Program Proposal Policy
For Coaches, Clinics, Camps, and Organizations Seeking to Operate at Smash Courts.
Smash Courts is committed to providing high-quality programming while maintaining control over the use of our facility, brand, and resources. To ensure alignment with our standards and protect the integrity of our business, all external coaching and paid programming proposals must go through a formal review and approval process.
🚦 Who This Applies To:

Independent coaches offering paid lessons or clinics

Organizations running camps, leagues, or training programs
-
Non-profits or third-party groups seeking facility access for paid programming

Any entity collecting payment from participants while operating at Smash Courts
✅ Peak Times:
Peak court times are our most in-demand facility hours. These hours are used in a way that best serves our members and supports the long-term sustainability of Smash Courts.
During peak times, court use is reserved for:

Smash Courts member programming (leagues, ladders, clinics, events)

Revenue-share partner programs approved by management
-
Special events or tournaments
External coaches may be approved for peak time courts, under the following conditions:

Revenue Share Model – The program operates under a written Coach/Program Agreement with a pre-approved percentage split.

In-House Program Format – The program is run by Smash Courts with the coach acting as a paid coordinator or instructor. Registration and fees go through Smash Courts.

All participants in peak time programs must be registered through the Smash Courts system.

Business model (court rental vs. revenue share)

Expected number of participants and staff

Coaching Credentials

Valid certifications

Background checks for all coaching staff

Demonstrated experience and references

Liability & Insurance

Proof of liability insurance with Smash Courts listed as additional insured

Waiver and safety protocols for participants

Facility Use Agreement

Signed agreement outlining court access, branding, scheduling, and conduct

Clear understanding of Smash Courts’ policies and expectations

Revenue Model & Cost Sharing

Either:

Court Rental Model – hourly rate, organizer manages registration

Revenue Share Model – Smash Courts manages registration and splits income
-

No external private lessons permitted unless explicitly approved

🚫 What’s Not Allowed:

Unapproved coaching or clinics operating under the radar
-
Use of courts for paid programming without a signed agreement
-
Promotion of external programs using Smash Courts branding without consent

Private lessons by non-affiliated coaches
